The problem

Custom web studios lose prospects when the first conversation is vague — "I need a website" without page count, features, or tier context. Sales calls get spent on basics instead of scoping. Timelee needed a self-serve planner that qualifies leads before the first email.

What we built

  • Eight-step wizard — business type, goals, pages, features, design mood, timeline, budget signal, and summary
  • Live preview panel — updates as selections change so prospects see structure before requesting a quote
  • Tier recommendation engine — maps answers to Launch, Site, or App tier with plain-language rationale
  • Theme variants — multiple visual skins (corporate, bold, minimal) to demonstrate design range
  • Contact prefill — sketch summary passes to the contact form so quotes start with full context
  • Mobile-responsive — full wizard usable on phone without horizontal scroll or broken steps

Results

Prospects who complete Site Sketch arrive at contact with page list, feature checklist, and tier recommendation — cutting scoping time on the first call. The tool doubles as a Site tier proof: interactive UX, state management, and conversion design on a marketing site without a framework dependency.

Replicable pattern for client engagements: configurators, product selectors, ROI calculators, and qualification wizards embedded in marketing sites.
